We are looking for a Head of IT Operations who will lead the evolution of our IT operations landscape and ensure reliability, security and high-quality support across platforms, systems and workplaces.

Key responsibilities
You will lead and evolve IT operations across four core domains:
1. Customer platform support
Ensure reliable operational support for our customer-facing learning and LMS platforms.
You will:
- Ensure platform stability, uptime and effective incident resolution
- Coordinate support activities between engineering, product and customer-facing teams
- Improve monitoring, operational processes and service quality
- Identify and mitigate reliability and scalability risks
2. Business application support
Enable internal teams to work effectively through reliable and well-managed business applications.
You will:
- Oversee operational support for business-critical applications and tooling
- Manage user support, access management and vendor coordination
- Improve operational processes and application reliability\
- Support the implementation and integration of new business systems where needed
3. Workplace technology
Build and maintain a productive, scalable and secure workplace technology environment.
You will:
- Oversee workplace technology, end-user support and collaboration tooling
- Manage device, identity and access processes across the organisation
- Standardise workplace technology and support processes across teams and acquisitions
- Improve the employee onboarding and workplace support experience
4. Security & compliance
Establish and maintain strong operational security and compliance practices.
You will:
- Drive security and compliance maturity across systems and processes
- Oversee operational security processes such as access control and vulnerability management
- Support audits, compliance initiatives and risk mitigation activities
- Collaborate with engineering and leadership on security improvements and priorities
What we’re looking for
Experience
- Proven experience in IT Operations, IT Service Management or similar leadership roles
- Experience supporting SaaS platforms and business-critical applications
- Experience managing IT support, infrastructure and workplace technology
- Experience working in scaling environments with increasing complexity, such as acquisitions and multi-system landscapes

- Pragmatic and solution-oriented, with a strong focus on outcomes
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Comfortable balancing structure with flexibility in a scaling organisation
- Hands-on when needed, while able to operate strategically
Expertise
Strong understanding of:
- IT service management, including incident, problem and change management
- SaaS platforms and customer support operations
- Business application ecosystems
- Workplace technology, including end-user devices, collaboration tooling and identity management
- Security and compliance fundamentals such as access control, data protection and audits
- Reliability, usability, security and cost optimisation
Communication
- Able to translate operational topics into clear business impact
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Fluent in both Dutch and English
